Ture (Eric Algot) Bengtz (1907 – 1983)
A native of the Aland Islands in Finland, Bengtz immigrated to America
in 1927 and attended the school of the Museum of Fine Arts,
Boston. A printmaker and painter, he made study trips to Europe,
including Sweden and Finland, during the 1930’s and headed the drawing
and graphic arts departments at the school of the Museum of Fine Arts,
Boston, His work is in the collections of the Boston Public
Library, the Berkshire Museu (showing 500 of 9736 characters). |
