Ed Balcourt grew up in Brooklyn and then raised his family on Long Island. He spent his later years in Florida with his wife. He received his education at Pratt Institute majoring in Illustration. He has diverse experience with New York advertising and publishing companies. Ed operated three art studios in Manhattan and also had a hand in illustrating paperback book covers and movie poster art.
