Born in Spain in 1891, Eduardo Benito studied in Valladolid, at Belles Artes de San Fernando, Madrid and at the Ecole des Beaux Arts in Paris. There, he launched his career with the legendary Paul Poiret as a designer of fabrics, furnishings and decorative objects.
Benito lived in Paris and New York and was a major contributor to fashion books and magazines including Gazette du Bon Ton, L'Homme Elegan and Le Gout du Jour and the deluxe catalogue La Derniere Lett (showing 500 of 980 characters). |
