ELIZABETH BABCOCK Elizabeth Babcock, born in Keokuk, Iowa on July 19, 1887, was a student at the Cincinnati Art Academy under Frank Duveneck and William Merritt Chase. She polished off her training in Paris and Fontainebleau and at the Art Students League in New York. Babcock was both a painter and an illustrator who contributed to Scribner’s and Harper’s.
