| Born Fionna Geddes in Edinburgh, Scotland, Fionna Buck attended the Edinburgh College of Art in Edinburgh, Scotland. She earned a Diploma in Drawing and Painting and received a "Highly Commended" graduate degree equivalent in 1974. ).
Since 1973, Fionna Buck (Geddes) has worked in various media including paintings on canvas, ceramics, encaustics, monoprints, fibre and watercolor. She is best known for her subtle and quietly expressionist works on paper and encaustics.
