Biography from Butler Institute of American Art:
| Born in Dayton, OH on May 10, 1940, Gary Bower received his undergraduate and graduate degrees from Ohio State University.
His work is in the Whitney Museum of American Art, Akron Art Institute, and Walker art Center.
He has exhibited at Leo Castelli Galleries, OK Harris Gallery and the Cleveland Center for Contemporary Art.
He has been the Staff Critic in painting at the Whitney Museum, a lecturer in painting at the State University of New York and a visiting professor at Ohio State University. |
