Biography from Blackhawk Gallery:
| Ginny grew up in southern New Hampshire and moved to Wyoming in 1980 to see what the West was like. Even though she graduated with a Fine Art degree in 1996, she only began pursuing a painting career in 2001, after trying pastels at the insistence of a friend. She was soon passionate about pastels. Since then she has branched out to include oil painting as well.
She is most attracted to the western landscape and never tires of observing it and attempting to do it justice either in pastels or oil. She divides her painting time between the studio and outdoors. Never having gotten the hang of handling a brush or brandishing a stock of pastel with numb fingers, she paints outdoors in the warm weather and inside the rest of the time.
