| | Born in Chicago, IL on June 22, 1873. By the 1890s Wetherell had moved to northern California and settled in Oakland. She was most active in the local art scene at the turn of the century. Her rare works include Chinese genre, still lifes, and landscapes. A widow, her name was Ballantine at the time of her death in Berkeley, CA on Dec. Dec. 31, 1952.
