| Hanne Brenken began exhibiting in Germany in 1960, and has had solo exhibitions almost every year since, in Germany and in the United States. Her archetypical landscapes have a surreal quality. She and her artist-husband Ricardo Wiesenberg moved to the United States in 1978 and have lived in Montecito, California since 1997.
