Harold Guenther Breul was born on May 6, 1889  in North Providence, Rhode Island. He studied at  RISD and PAFA under Henry McCarter.   Harold Breul was a designer, cartoonist, illustrator, painter, and etcher.   His specialties were horses and coaching scenes.  He died on September 9, 1965 in Providence, RI.
