| Born in Marietta, OH on Aug. 11, 1867. Bosworth went to sea when quite young and at age 15 arrived in San Francisco where he found work as an actor. Due to ill health, he spent nine years in Denver and the deserts of the Southwest in a tent-like existence. He was a self-taught artist except for a brief period of study with Charles Partridge Adams in Colorado. Around the turn of the century, he settled in Los Angeles. It was during this period that he was most active as an artist while work (showing 500 of 886 characters). |
