| A resident of Safety Harbor, Florida, Holly Banks paints nature as a
personal vision. She is a 1981 graduate of the University of Toledo and
then spent time in Washington D.C. copying the Old Masters at the
National Gallery of Art.
She also studied at the Atelier of Plein Air Studies in Safefy Harbor and the studio of Daniel Green in North Salem, New York.
She is married to Allan R Banks, former director and instructor at the Atelier of Plein Air Studies.

| Holly Hope Banks was born in 1957 in Columbus, Ohio. She studied
painting at the University of Toledo, and her work has been included in
numerous national open juried exhibitions. In the last five years
her work has appeared three times in the Catherine Lorillard Wolfe Art
Club annual at the National Arts Club in New York, and four times with
the Audubon Artists in New York. Among her major awards were two
with the latter in 1998 and 1999.
Her work has also been included in exhibitions in 2000 and 2001 at the
Butler Institute of American Art. In 1998 she was named as one of
ten prominent emerging artists in an article in American Artist magazine, and she wrote an article, which was published in the same magazine in the October 2001 issue.
Holly will be featured in an exhibition at Hillsdale College this
fall. She resides, and maintains her studio, in Florida. |
