He was originally from the East, having studied in Worcester and Boston, Massachusetts; New York and Philadelphia. He exhibited portraits at various exhibitions at the Stevens and Congress Hotels in Chicago, Illinois, under the auspices of the All-Illinois Society of Fine Arts, of which he was a member. Also at the O’Brien Art Galleries, the Art Galleries of the Carson, Pirie Scott & Company and at the Art Institute of Chicago. He maintained his studio at 16? East Ontario Street, Chicago.
