He was a scholarship student at the Pennsylvania Academy of the Fine Arts from 1935. There in 1940 he was awarded the distinguished Emlen Cresson Scholarship to study art in Europe. After serving in the armed forces in WWII, he completed his graduate studies at the Academy and at the University of Pennsylvania, receiving his M.A. in 1949. He taught at Drexel Institute, Villanova, The School Art League Cl (showing 500 of 1763 characters). |
