|  Painter Jay Brooks captures the landscape near his home in upstate New York in oils and pastels. A graduate of Columbia University (MFA), Brooks works as an art teacher for Monticello High School in Monticello, New York.
Two of the artist's pastels and one oil painting were selected for the Top 100 in the Arts for the Parks annual competitions.
