Biography from Crocker Art Museum Store:
| Painter. Born in Upper Sandusky, OH on Aug. 19, 1856. Beckman studied with Henri and Chase in NYC and at Académie Colarossi in Paris.
A resident of Kenton, OH until 1921, she then moved to southern California and had homes in Laguna Beach and Los Angeles. A spinster, she died in the latter on Oct. 28, 1929.
