Realist painter Joel Babb creates cityscapes of Boston from photographs he has taken hovering over the city in a helicopter. The artist also paints the Maine coastline and woods as well as portraits and still life works.
Babb was raised in the midwest and attended Princeton University with the dream of becoming a painter. After earning his MFA from the Boston Museum School he became a faculty member teaching courses on realist painting.
