| A painting titled "Field Flowers" is the only known painting by this artist, and its technical precision shows that the artist had some obvious skill with still- life painting.
Art historian William Gerdts wrote that he belonged to a group of German artists along with Severin Roesin who emigrated to America in the mid-19th century.
