The following information is from Mary Scriver, wife of artist Bob Scriver (1914-1999).
Joy Buba was part of a New York City community that included Malvina Hoffman, who was her good friend. Joy came to Browning, Montana, in the Sixties to make portraits of Blackfeet Indians.
Both used The Bob Spring's Foundry in New York for bronze casting.
Buba and Hoffman were members of the National Sculpture Society and recommended Bob Scriver for membership. The gro (showing 500 of 4798 characters). |
