|  Julian (Bud) Blake (1919-2005)
The creator of the comic strip Tiger, Blake was born Feb. 13, 1918, in Nutley, New Jersey, where he attended elementary and high school, and later the National Academy of Design in New York City. He usually signed his cartoon works “Bud Blake“.
He died December 26, 2005 at Maine Medical Center. He was 87.
