| Born in Chunkoosh, Armenia on June 15, 1889. Boroian avoided being drafted into the Turkish army by immigrating to the U.S. in 1912. After settling in Chicago, he attended the AIC for four years while supporting himself in commercial art. In 1914 he and John Norton painted a mural on the Chicago Daily News building. He served in the U.S. Army during WWI, painting helmets and artillery for camouflage. Due to an eye injury he had to abandon his art career. After the war he moved to Los Ange (showing 500 of 966 characters). |
