The following is submitted April 2004 by DeeJay (Dolores J Gaugh), sister of the artist:

Keith Birdsong is a self taught artist, who was born and raised in a small town named Muskogee Oklahoma, where he resided until the age of 15. After that he lived in California, and Texas for a year each. He than moved to Missouri where he finished school, got married and then went into the service, joining the 82nd Airborne Division.

During that time he did several art projects for the Service. After getting out of the service he started working with an advertising company. After deciding to leave that firm, he started doing free lance work with Teen Magazine, Muscle Fitness, along with several children's books. Shortly afterwards he and his family moved back to Muskogee so his daughter could be around family.
