Lester M. Bonar (1896-1973)
Born in Phoenix, Arizona on March 30, 1896, Bonar received his training in art from the University of California, Los Angeles and continued his studies in watercolor with Sam Hyde Harris, and others. He became a landscape
painter in oil and watercolor, especially of scenes around San Pedro,
California, where he settled in the 1920s. He served in World War
I in France under General John J Pershing.
