| Born in Ontario, CA on March 17, 1915. A resident of Los Angeles by 1940, Bumstead studied at University of Southern California under Sample and Lutz. He then was an art director for the movie studios and won several Academy Awards. He was a resident of San Marino, CA until his demise on May 27, 2006. Exhibited: Southern California Artists, San Diego Fine Arts Gallery; California Watercolor Society, 1940-42.
