This biography from the Archives of AskART:
The following is from the artist:

I was born in 1945 in Jersey City, N.J. and am now residing in Highlands, N.J. I am primarily a figurative painter working in the style of Electric Impressionism and using the mediums of Oil, Pastel, and Watercolor.

My first paintings were on the wall by the side of my crib. I used whatever was available for my medium. Over the years I found the subject matter and a creative process I call "Electric Impressionism"; it is a way to stop time, a flight of fancy, transportation to a universal experience.

I start with a digital camera, capturing inspiration and then process and sketch with my computer, followed by a final re-translation to either oil, watercolor or pastel. Light and color filtering through the atmosphere and than through the back lighting of the computer take on a unique dimension. The finished work is never the photo or the computer image but an internal re working---the electrical impulses of man and machine, and the final impression. The image is representational, sometimes landscape or people.

The hardware is digital but the software is spiritual in nature. I believe creativity comes from a power greater than the artist, and is best accessed with that understanding. I don't work alone; my studio has a spiritual dimension, and it is a gift that must be repaid with gratitude and right work.

I have worked as an Interior Designer and as Artist in Residence and worked in a gallery in Riegelsville, Pennsylvania, and as a painter at Temple of Art - No Spitting, Highlands, New Jersey.

I have attended the Parsons / New School, B.S.- St. Peter's College - Dr. Serra Badue, oil painting, Xavier University - Prof. John Scott, sculpting, Newark Museum School, sculpting, New Jersey Center for Visual Arts, figure painting.

My painting style was influenced by C. Panagini, watercolorist, and Joe Hon Li, oil portraiture.

I have won the Adam Stycha Award and a Gallery in the Park Award.
