|  Born in Rehoboth, Massachusetts, nothing is known of her artistic training. In 1880, she was listed in the "Boston City Directory" as living in Jamaica Plains, where she lived until her death. She was widowed in 1886. She tuaght china, oil and watercolor painting by appointment for many years there, and by 1878 had 40 to 50 students. Five of her floral watercolors were exhibited at the U.S. International Exhibition of 1876 in Philadelphia. |
