| Born in Santo Antonio, a village near Lonate, Italy in 1885. While a hod carrier Brusatori became fascinated with the fresco painters working at a local church. Inspired by their work, he entered the Reggia Art Academy in Milan. At 17 he painted his first fresco in a Milan church and from that day made his living as an artist. While living in San Francisco during 1912-21, he painted frescoes for the Catholic Church. His best known works in San Francisco are the St Francis of Assisi Church o (showing 500 of 966 characters). |
