| Seattle landscapist Marc Bohne grew up in West Texas and Southern new Mexico. As a child he loved to draw. He attended Columbia College in Columbia Missouri where he earned a bachelor's degree in fine arts.
Bohne worked in many fields such as resort administration, medicine and wilderness rescues before returning to painting for a career. In 1996 Bohne went on an extended trip to Ireland and then returned home to a studio in an old renovated school in Seattle, Washington where he paints every day. The following year as his funds were running out, Bohne found studio representation at a local gallery in Seattle as well as galleries in Santa Fe, New Mexico and Santa Monica, California.
Bohne's emotional landscapes capture ordinary scenes and gives the viewer reason to pause before them.
