Raised in San Francisco and living in Albuquerque, New Mexico, Mark Beck is a painter in realist and impressionist styles of houses, desolate and alone and in landscapes.
After spending time as a nineteen-year old with a farmer uncle in Minnesota, Beck developed an interest in rural subjects and majored in crop science at California Polytechnic State University in San Luis Obispo, California.
