| Born in Portland, ME on May 18, 1890. Burrage studied in Paris with Richard Miller, at Académies Grande Chaumiére and Colarossi. She was living in Virginia City, NV and active in San Francisco in late 1920s and early 1930s. By the late 1930s she had returned to Maine where she was director of Lincoln County Museum into the early 1960s. In 1960 she was given the Nat’l Achievement Award by the Nat’l Ass’n of University Women. She died in Yarmouth, ME on March 26, 1983. Exh: PAFA, 1911, 1913 (showing 500 of 925 characters). |
