Born in Minneapolis, Minnesota. She was a pupil of Robert Reid, Birger Sandzen, Randall Davey, Jean Despujols, Paul Beudouin, John Sloan, Hans Hoffman, and Boardman Robinson.
Member of Art students league of New York, Fontainbleau Alumni Assoc. Awards: Honorable mention, Denver Art Museum, 1932; Silver medal, Kansas City Art Institute, 1933.
