| A professor of painting from 1936 to the 1970s at the Philadelphia College of Art, Morris Berd was also a noted muralist. His commissions include the "History of Oil" for Sun Oil Company and the "History of Architecture" for Gimbel Brothers in Philadelphia.
Berd studied at the Philadelphia College of Art and the University per Strangeri in Perugia, Italy.

| Born in Philadelphia, Morris Berd studied at the Philadelphia College of Art and the University of Strangeri in Perugia, Italy. He has exhibited at the Pennsylvania Academy of the Fine Arts, the Philadelphia Museum of Art regional exhibits, and has had over 50 one-man shows.
His work is in the Barnes Foundation, Philadelphia Museum of Art, Pennsylvania Academy of the Fine Arts, Franklin Institute and Philadelphia College of Art. Berd taught at the Philadelphia College of Art from 1936 to the 1970s.
