Nancy Braginton -Smith is a contemporary Cape Cod artist whose career started in 1986. She lives in Hyannis,MA and studied with Sam Barber, a Cape Cod artist, and also at the Cape Cod School of Art,the Provincetown Art Association, the Swain
School and the New England School of Art & Design.
She has a distinct palette of bright, luminous colors reminiscent of the French Impressionists. She specializes in marine, boating, crew and beach scenes, as well as scenes with children and portraits.
She has had over 20 group and single shows.
Her paintings have been commissioned by "The Head of the Charles", the 1995 Figawi Race(Hyannis to Nantucket).
She is an elected member of the Copley Society, the American Society of Marine Artists and the Pastel Society of America.
