| | Born in California in 1888. Borgeson studied at the San Francisco Institute of Art (1908-12), Boston Museum School, and with Arthur Dow at Columbia University in 1916. In that year she joined the faculty at the California College of Arts and Crafts in Oakland where she taught antique design and composition into the 1930s.
