| Born in Torrance, California in 1949, Paula Bacinski studied at the Otis Art Institute in Los Angeles and studied for four years with Theodore N. Lukits (1897-1992) at the Lukits Academy of Fine Arts. She received a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree from Mount St. Mary's College, Los Angeles, and a Master's in Ministry from Seattle University, Seattle, Washington.
In the course of her twenty-five year career, Bacinski has taught drawing, painting, and the fundamentals of art through private instruction and at the elementary and high school levels. She presents artist retreats, painting workshops and lectures on the spirituality of art. In 1999 her Alma Mater, Bishop Montgomery High School, named her "Alumnus of the Year."
Paula has been featured in articles in "Westways Magazine" and "Southwest Art" magazine. She is a member of the Pastel Society of America, Northwest Pastel Society, West Coast Pastel Society, Oil Painters of America, and a signature member of the California Art Club.
