| | BERINGER, Pierre M. (1861-1927). Artist. Born in Louisiana in 1861. Beringer was in Washington in the 1889-92. By 1894 he was living in San Francisco and was head of the art department for Overland Monthly. After the earthquake in 1906, he continued as such after moving across the Golden Gate to Sausalito. He died there on February 17, 1927. | Source:
