Born in India in 1952, Dr. Rajni Bala completed her B.A. and M.A. from Agra University in 1971 and 1973 respectively. She completed her Ph.D. in Rajasthani Painting in 1983. Knife-painting, which is essentially built on the concept of "patch-work", is the form that Dr. Bala most often employs.
