This biography from the Archives of AskART:
| The following is from the artist:
I paint people, still life, landscapes and scenes. Some of the work are versions of old master paintings...I'm working on a painting now, the subject matter being one of Manet's famous paintings.
I paint primarily with oils on canvas but also use watercolor, gouache, pastel and on occasion acrylic.
In 1970 I graduated with an MBA from the University of California at Berkeley in International Finance and 6 weeks later I found myself studying art in a studio in Carnegie Hall, New York City and making my living by waiting on tables.
My 'formal' art training lasted five years with one of those years studying on the west coast of France.
So I guess it's been thirty-one years of work.
I've had shows in New York City, Boston, Amsterdam, Nashville and this spring will be having an exhibit in New Hampshire, where I have lived for the past eight years.
My work is representative but not realistic and the fiber of what we call 'western art' can be seen in the work.
