|  Roger Blum was born in Watsonville, California. It's a quiet coastal region sandwiched between the Loma Prieta Mountains and picturesque Monterey coastline. This was the spawning ground for Roger Blum's future as a landscape and sporting artist. He spent much of his youth hunting, fishing and exploring the natural world around him. Roger now lives near a mountain lake in the beautiful San Juan Mountains of southern Colorado. The area is abundant with wildlife, fishing and all the landscape inspiration he desires.
He says, "I enjoy creating something out of nothing, to bring attention to subjects most people haven't noticed before, and to find beauty that lies beneath the surface or perhaps only in the fantasy of my mind. I want to continue learning, to remain open to new ideas each and every day that God gave me. I want to apply my passion to paint in such a way as to bring joy to those who choose to view my works for a moment or a lifetime."
