| With her painting "Learning the Call" featured on the cover of of the 1998 Minnesota Department of Natural Resources hunting regulation booklet and "Sunny Catch" on the 1999 Minnesota DNR fishing regulations booklet, she earned statewide recognition.
In 1996, she signed with Wild wings of Lake City, Minnesota for limited edition prints of her work. She is a self-taught fine artist with a graphics design business, and in 1981, began developing her signature style, which is acrylic paintings of children in their natural surroundings. She strives for realistic detail such as scraped knees, oversized clothing, serious expressions, etc. For her, these child portraits are childhood memories. |
