Originally an abstract artist, Rosemarie Beck changed stylistically
when she began portraying realistic subject matter, through a unique
form of Impressionism, in the early 1950s.
Beck studied at Oberlin College in Ohio, and New York University and
Columbia University in New York City. She dedicated many years of
her career to teaching painting at colleges and art institutions in
Connecticut and New York.
In 1967, and again in 1979, Beck was awarded (showing 500 of 1408 characters). |
