Biography from AskART:
| The following is from the E.S. Lawrence Gallery:
Born in Montana's Bitterroot Valley in 1955. Boschet derives the inspiration for her paintings from the values she grew up with. The simplicity and closeness to the land are recaptured in her floral landscapes with their inviting homes and colorful, bountiful gardens.
Although Boschet's inclination toward art began in childhood, she completed a degree in graphic design and worked briefly as a freelance graphic artist before trying her hand at fine art. In 1987, after experimenting with a variety of styles and subjects, Boschet began concentrating on the floral landscapes that allow her to express all the elements she treasures about art--color, texture and shape. Boschet often draws her subjects from small towns near her home in Santa Fe, or her previous residences of Montana and Aspen, Colorado. She is most often inspired by simple, ordinary places that tend to go unnoticed by the typical passer-by. |
