This biography from the Archives of AskART:
| Shirley Booth (1898-1992)
An award-winning actress of stage and screen, Booth began painting in oil when living in Bucks County, Pennsylvania (Newtown, Pennsylvania) from 1946 to 1951. She lived there with her second husband William Hogg Baker, Jr. who had taken up painting and inspired her to do so as well. It is unknown how many paintings she did or where they are. One painting known to exist belongs to her surviving family - it's a still life of a snow scene inspired by her property in Pennsylvania.
Booth survived her husband and died October 16, 1992 at North Chatham, Massachusetts.
