|  Sister Agnes Berchmans, nee Julia Alma Landry, entered the Sisters of Charity while a teenager. Her order, recognizing her talents, sent her to Italy to study with Filadelfo Simi. She painted until she was ninety-three when poor eyesight forced her to give up her work.
