Stanford Earl Blodgett (b.1909, Decorah, Iowa- d.April 13, 2006)
At the age of four months he moved with his family to Alberta, Canada. He graduated from the Provinical Institute of Technology and Art (now Alberta College of Art and Design).
He taught at the Alberta College of Art and Banff School of Fine Arts from 1948 to 1976. When retired, he held watercolor workshops at the Leighton Center. Blodgett was also an accomplished musician, playing piano, trumpet and euphonium and was a member of the Calgary Concert band.
