| Steven Bigler's quiet landscapes of Central Italy feature farms and forests. The artist's work is inspired by the 15th century Umbrian artist Piero della Francesca's classically ordered compositions, but also recalls the American Regionalist Grant Associate Professor of Art at the University of Northern Iowa in Cedar Falls.
His work has been featured in publications including Art & Antiques, Art of California, and American Artist. Bigler's work is held in numerous public and private collections including the Minnesota Museum of Art, Exxon Corporation, and the Butler Institute of American Art.
