| Her feminist themes incorporate a wide variety of materials including paper dolls, plastic replicas of garter snakes, and sea shells. The idea is to convey that childhood memories, assertion of self, and political sensibility are important in determining gender attitudes today. In fall, 1998, she had a special exhibition of her work in New York City.
