| | Painter. Born in Madera, CA on June 22, 1912. While a resident of Los Angeles in the 1930s, "Tanci" Bristol studied art at USC, with Paul Sample, Dan Lutz, and J. D. Prendergast. She taught at Spokane (WA) Art Center (1942), San Diego State University (1949), Los Angeles State College (1950-53), and at hospitals in southern California from 1959. The widow of Alvin Sion, she is currently living in Costa Mesa, CA. Exh: Portland Museum, 1939; Cincinnati Museum, 1939; Calif. WC Society, 1939-40; Calif.
