| Vera Benson was born in Dorchester, MA. Graduate of Wellesley, an Art major. Studied portraiture with Margaret Fitzhugh Browne, Wayman Adams and Mildred Jones; watercolor with Alma LeBrecht at Boston Museum and John Chetcuti and Jerri Ricci in Rockport; oils with Donald Stoltenberg and George Dergalis.
Represented in North Shore Arts Exhibitions, Jordan Marsh, deCordova, Cambridge Art Association and Rockport. Awarded A. Carl. Butman prize in 1957, for watercolor by Rockport Art Association.
