|  Warren Beach was born in Minneapolis, Minnesota on May 21, 1914. Beach graduated from Yale University with a BFA and earned his MA at Harvard University. He taught at Columbus Art School during 1947-49 and was the director of the San Diego Museum of Art from 1955 to 1969. He died in San Diego, CA on January 25, 1999.
